Siblings can often have similar traits, but followers of RTÉ’s Sarah McInerney can’t get over how she and her sister Ruth are so alike!

The radio presenter, who had hosted Drivetime on RTÉ Radio One alongside Cormac Ó hEadhra for six years, recently announced her departure from the show.

Followers are still waiting on Sarah to announce her next big move, but in the meantime, she decided to take some time out and head home for some quality family time.

Nothing beats a hug from your mum, and posting several shots on her social media, it was clear to many that Sarah was happy to be home in Galway.

Squeezing her mum tight, she wrote, ‘Gorgeous weekend in Galway with my favourite people, eating sensational food at O’ Grady’s bar.’

Treating herself, she said she availed ‘of the talents of Laura’s hair space, the amazing hair specialist.’ And as to be expected, she let her fans know that ‘It only rained for half the time.’ Which is good going for Galway!

While many enjoyed a quick sneak peek into life back home for Sarah, there was one picture that stopped many people in their tracks.

Sarah and her sister Ruth, while out enjoying a meal together, jumped into a picture together, and as you can see, the resemblance is uncanny.

Both girls have the same curly hair and facial features that many people could mistake them for twins.

Fans quickly picked up on this, with one stating, ‘I’m seeing double,’ while several others asked the presenter if the girls were twins. Sarah was quick to answer their question, that they were not.

While many were amazed at the siblings’ likeness, others took the time to mention how they missed her on Drivetime and highlighted how she was an asset to the show.
