Will Arnett and Amy Poehler have done their best to stay cordial since their divorce in 2016, but a source tells the National Enquirer that they’re still highly competitive about various friendships.
“Even though it’s been years since Amy and Will ended their marriage, it’s still one of those situations where their Hollywood pals have to pick sides,” the source says. “That’s gotten even more tense now that Amy has entered the podcasting fray with her highly rated weekly interview show, Good Hang.”
The source adds that Arnett, 55, along with his business partners Jason Bateman and Sean Hayes, has “already made tens of millions from his own top-ranked podcast Smartless.”
“If you’re a celebrity who knows any of these people personally, you are compelled to pick a side if you’re going to guest on either one of those shows,” the source continues. “That puts folks like Jennifer Aniston, Bradley Cooper and even Amy’s longtime best friend Aubrey Plaza in an awkward position as they promote their current and upcoming projects.”

“You just wish that Will and Amy could drop the decade-old baggage and focus on lifting each other up,” the source adds, “instead of letting their mutual friends get caught in the crossfire.”
Poehler, 54, and Arnett tied the knot in 2003 and went on to welcome two sons – Archie in 2008, followed by Abel in 2010. However, in September 2012, a rep for both of the actors confirmed that the two had decided to part ways.
Two years later, Arnett filed for divorce and it was finalized in 2016.
