Even though dogs and cats are the most common household pets, they certainly aren’t the only ones. Millions of people also have scaly, slimy, or feathered friends to brighten their homes—and even their workplaces!
Kevin, the Eclectus Parrot, is not only a feathered friend but also everyone’s favorite coworker. She often accompanies her human mom to work, where she stays busy supervising the office and micromanaging her mom. Even though she’s the boss, this beautiful parrot has all of her fans, including Mom, falling head over heels for her gorgeous ‘eyeliner’ and fluffy feathers.
Wow, isn’t she stunning? If it weren’t for her blinks and dilating pupil, I wouldn’t even think that she was real! She’s just so still and regal as she perches on Mom’s shoulder, and it makes sense why her fans are fawning over her left and right.

“That is probably the most beautiful bird I’ve ever seen in my life,” commented @jakebunzz. I think she knows how pretty she is, too! Her feathers are just so fluffy and vivid, and the calm way she peers into the camera makes it look like she’s checking herself out.
After all, who could blame her? Kevin, who’s named after the iconic fictional bird from UP, has her blue eyeliner on, and she’s all dressed up to hit the town! One commenter noticed that “She mismatched her t-shirt color,” but she still looks fabulous as the colorful bird she is.
Male v. Female Eclectus Parrots
Kevin’s gorgeous looks are enough to prove how unique and talented Eclectus Parrots are, but there’s another fun fact about their appearance that’s even more special. This species is dimorphic, meaning it has two distinct physical forms.
Female Eclectus Parrots like Kevin are bright red, while males are vivid green with an orange-colored beak. These birds could look like two separate species, but they’re only different genders.
So, if you ever doubted Kevin’s gender because of her masculine-sounding name, now you know the truth. This gorgeous bird is all girl!
