Dungloe singer and jiver Darcy Walsh will be dancing her way onto our screens in the next series of Glór Tíre on TG4.
The rising star will be appearing on the popular country music contest in the New Year under the mentorship of Jimmy Buckley.
Announcing the news to her fans, Darcy said: “I’m so grateful for this opportunity and can’t wait for you all to join me on this amazing journey. I can’t wait to share every step of the experience with you all.”
Darcy draws inspiration from icons like Philomena Begley, Dolly Parton and Randy Travis, blending their influence into her own style.
Darcy has watched Glór Tíre for as long as she can remember.
“It has always been a dream of mine to be on the show and I feel like I’m ready for it this year!” she said.
Outside of singing, Darcy is an award-winning jiver and teaches dancing to others.
Glór Tíre returns to TG4 on Tuesday 27th January 2026.
