Actor Keerthy Suresh, who is gearing up for the release of her upcoming Telugu film Revolver Rita, recently spoke out about the dangers of AI, particularly its impact on female actors. According to her, morphing existed in the past, but with AI-generated content, it looks so realistic that it’s hard to distinguish them from the truth.

In an interview with journalist Sudhir Srinivasan, Keerthy said, “Morphing has been around for a long time, and actresses have been facing it from the start. But the issue with AI is that it makes these alterations look so real. You see a picture of yourself, and for a moment, you actually start believing it’s really you. When it happened to me, I thought, ‘This isn’t me… I never posed like this, did I?’ In that moment, a million thoughts ran through my head.”

Keerthy also shared a personal experience during a press meet of the movie revealing how she was shocked to see an image of herself in a suggestive outfit online, only to later realise that it had been digitally manipulated. “Humans invented technology, but we’re losing control over it,” she said. “I remember seeing a photo of myself wearing an outfit for a movie puja that had been altered from a different angle. For a second, I thought, ‘Did I really pose like that?’ But then I realised, no, I hadn’t. It was just another example of how AI can distort reality.”
