I’m a Celebrity bosses are reportedly ‘furious’ after contestants were caught sneaking in even more banned items.

Some of the stars have already admitted to breaking the show’s strict rules after ‘contraband’ was discovered last week.

Alex Scott, who has since been voted out of the jungle, was spotted sprinkling forbidden salt onto her food, but Ant and Dec made light of the situation.

The hosts teased viewers that they would have to wait to find out what the penalty was.

Shona McGarty also admitted sneaking in a can of air freshener that she had stashed in the toilets.

It has now been reported that producers have also found butter that was snuck into the camp.

Insiders believe that it is going to cause a stir for the group, with the butter believed to be stashed in a tiny plastic packet.

The rule breaker, who has not been named, will reportedly be given ‘two options’ by the bosses to sort out the mess.

The source believes that ‘both options – which are still top secret – would massively shake up camp’.

They told the Daily Star: ‘It’s been a day of shocks and surprises with more contraband discovered and the fallout from this rule break has sent shockwaves through the whole camp.’

This year is not the first time that the celebrities have been caught red-handed with forbidden items.

In previous years, stars have managed to smuggle in the likes of salt, teabags and makeup.

Belfast radio presenter Dean McCullough successfully got tea bags past the bosses, which he then added to the morning’s hot water supply.

When other contestants were served the dark water, Barry McGuigan raised the alarm.

Coronation Street star Alan Halsall was in on the ploy and managed to play it off.

He said: ‘We got a bit of mud in the kettle, but if you try it, it’s not too bad.’

However, the incident led to contestants being ordered to give up any other contraband to avoid further punishment.
