Taoiseach Micheál Martin has said Ireland is open to providing military support as peacekeepers in the event of a Ukraine settlement.

“Yes, Ireland will be open to monitoring any ceasefire or, indeed, aspects of a peace settlement,” Mr Martin said in response to a direct question from media about a possible peacekeeping operation.
