I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! has left fans in shock over its latest elimination twist, with disbelieved viewers asking for “a recount”.

The 25th season of the ITV reality series has bid farewell to another camper in tonight’s episode.

After losing Kelly Brook last night, it was Ruby Wax‘s turn to get out of the jungle in a surprising voting decision.

Hosts Anthony McPartlin and Declan Donnelly were welcomed to the camp in the final scenes to share the results of tonight’s vote.

After announcing that fan-favourites Ruby and Emmerdale star Lisa Riley were at risk of elimination, Ant and Dec said it was Ruby who had to give up the chance to be crowned Queen of the Jungle.

As the other campmates were stunned by the decision, Ruby left her crown — her red headband — and said her goodbyes.

After Ruby entertained fans with her one-liners and her sweet friendship with Celebs Go Dating’s Tom Read Wilson, it’s safe to say viewers weren’t expecting she would leave Australia so soon.

Right after her elimination, fans have been flooding social media, throwing their support behind Ruby, who one person on Instagram called “the people’s princess”.

“HOWWWWWW?!? IS THE PUBLIC OK??” another viewer asked, while someone else replied: “Honestly, I don’t think they are.”

“I demand a recount,” was another comment, as a fifth fan called Ruby a “diva”.

“NOOOOO OUR DIVA IS GONE,” they wrote, as multiple people came forward saying the actress and comedian was in their top 3 to get to the final.

“This is a joke,” someone else wrote.

Joining fans who were shocked over Ruby’s swift exit was The Traitors star Paloma Faith.

“WTF she was surely going to win?” the singer offered.

Ruby is the fifth camper to leave the jungle, as seven more stars will continue enduring the show’s infamous trials for a shot at victory.
