Peter Parker’s next web-slinging chapter just took a huge leap forward. Marvel Studios has officially wrapped production on Spider-Man: Brand New Day, marking the end of a 128-day shoot across the U.K. as the film heads into post-production. The timing couldn’t be better — the wrap comes just days before the Avengers: Doomsday trailer premieres alongside Avatar: Fire and Ash on December 19, setting the stage for Marvel’s most interconnected year in ages.

Filming began August 1, 2025 as Tom Holland took to the streets of Glasgow, Scotland, to begin filming some high-octane action sequences and four months later, as per Cosmic Circus and UnBoxPHD, cameras finally stopped rolling on December 6 after an intense schedule. Destin Daniel Cretton (who directs from a screenplay by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers) isn’t easing Peter back in gently. Holland returns with Zendaya as MJ, Jacob Batalon as Ned, Tony Revolori as Flash Thompson — but this time, the supporting players are bringing heavy artillery Michael Mando is back as Mac Gargan, Marvin Jones III will bring mobster Tombstone to life, and unknown roles are set for Tramell Tillman and Liza Colón-Zayas, while the headliners are Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner, Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle/The Punisher, and Sadie Sink in an undisclosed role.

What Can We Expect from ‘Brand New Day’?

Speaking to ScreenRant, Bernthal emphasized what mattered most in bringing his antihero into Spidey’s world:

“I think what was really important to me and to Destin [Daniel Cretton] and to Tom [Holland] is that we believed that the Punisher could walk off of the Spider-Man set and could walk onto the Special set, and I do believe that we achieved that.”

Marvel has released the first official story summary, teasing Peter at his most isolated and most adult:

After the world has forgotten his name, Peter Parker (Holland) begins a new chapter in his life — balancing college classes, part-time work, and his responsibility as New York’s friendly neighborhood Spider-Man. But when a mysterious force begins to unravel the city from the inside out, Peter finds himself caught between powerful enemies, old legacies, and unexpected allies. As shadows from the past creep into his present, he must redefine what it truly means to be a hero — on his own.

With Spider-Man: Brand New Day wrapped and the Avengers: Doomsday trailer dropping December 19, Marvel is kick-starting a seismic new era. Fans attending screenings of Avatar: Fire and Ash will be first to see the preview.
