A woman has died following a single vehicle road traffic collision in Co Limerick yesterday.
The collision involved a car and occurred at approximately 4.10pm on the Abington Road, Murroe.
The driver of the car, a woman aged in her 70s, was pronounced deceased at the scene. Her body has been removed to University Hospital Limerick where a post mortem will take place.
No other injuries were reported.
The road is currently closed pending technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators. Local diversions are in place.
Gardaà are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward.
Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the area between 3:50pm and 4:20pm, are asked to make this footage available to investigating GardaÃ.
