Vin Diesel triggered mass chaos on the internet after he edited a social media post that heavily implies Cristiano Ronaldo will appear in the upcoming Fast & Furious 11 (aka Fast X: Part 2).
Rumors have been swirling regarding the soccer superstar potentially appearing in the Fast & Furious franchise. Now, an edited Instagram post from Vin Diesel, who portrays Dominic Toretto in the films, has fans convinced that Ronaldo will indeed have a role in the next installment.
The post was a picture of the two stars, and it initially just said that the actor wrote a role for Ronaldo in the past. The soccer player was allegedly supposed to appear in a prequel to the Fast & Furious films titled Los Bandoleros in 2009, but he ultimately didn’t make it into the movie.
However, eagle-eyed fans noticed that Vin Diesel slightly altered the caption. It now reads, “Everyone asked, would he be in the Fast mythology… I gotta tell you he is a real one. We wrote a role for him…” whereas before the post only stated that Ronaldo was only supposed to be in Los Bandoleros.
Naturally, this caused the comments section to explode. Vin Diesel’s followers were freaking out and theorizing what Ronaldo’s role could be or if the actor was being serious. Overall, the comments were mostly positive, with fans expressing their excitement about seeing the soccer player join the iconic action franchise.
Ronaldo’s role in Fast & Furious 11 has not been officially confirmed at the time of this article’s publication. His involvement is still just speculation at the moment.
Fast & Furious 11 is supposed to be the last film in the franchise. Dwayne Johnson (Hobbs), Jason Momoa (Dante Reyes), Jason Statham (Deckard Shaw), and even the late Paul Walker (Brian O’Conner) are set to return with Vin Diesel for the finale. It is unclear how the movie will bring back Walker’s character.
There is no official release date for Fast & Furious 11 at the time of this article’s publication. It has been speculated to be released in April 2027.
