A 14-year-old boy has emerged as a suspect in the double murder arson attack that claimed the lives of Tadgh Farrell (4) and his grand-aunt Mary Holt (60) last weekend in Co Offaly.

The Sunday Independent can reveal that the young teenager had his house in Edenderry raided by gardai on Friday, with items including mobile phones and clothing seized.
