The latest update on Tracker season 3 confirms some major casting news. The popular CBS series, led by Justin Hartley as Colter Shaw, has seen significant changes in its supporting cast. Abby McEnany and Eric Graise departed the series at the end of season 2, leaving behind only Hartley and Fiona Rene’s Reenie Greene as the last original Tracker cast members.
To address the absences of McEnany and Graise, who respectively played Velma Bruin and Bobby Exley, the crime drama has moved to lean more on familiar recurring characters. Tracker season 3, episode 9, welcomes back Brent Saxton as the retired cop Keaton. Chris Lee, meanwhile, makes another appearance as Randy to help Colter with his investigation.

In the latest change to the show’s supporting cast, Deadline reports that Kathleen Robertson and Mark Engelhardt have been cast on Tracker in recurring roles. Robertson will play Maxine, a high-powered attorney at a major law firm who approaches Reenie with what she claims is straightforward grunt work tied to an upcoming class-action lawsuit. But it soon becomes clear that Maxine has a different agenda.
As for Engelhardt, who previously recurred on American Horror Story and NCIS, he has the role of Emile Lang. Although the character summary is not as detailed as Maxine’s, Emile is described as a man guided by his own strict moral code. He’s cold, calculating, and methodical in his approach. Their arrivals could shake up the state of play, which was fundamentally altered by Tracker season 2’s finale.

Even though it has thinned its slate of series regulars, Tracker thoughtfully explained why Velma and Bobby left. Velma moved on because she wants to repair her relationship with Teddi. This closes the loop with Teddi’s quiet departure, following the exit of the Emmy-nominated Robin Weigert at the end of season 1. As for Bobby, he took on a new job opportunity.
Tracker season 3 heads to hiatus after Sunday, December 14. It will return on Sunday, March 1, 2026, and move to a new timeslot. It will air from 9 PM ET to 10 PM ET, with its old timeslot of 8 PM going to the Kayce Dutton-led Yellowstone spinoff Y: Marshals. It looks like when the show makes its way back to audiences, there will be an effort to give Reenie and Colter fresh story arcs as executive producer Elwood Reid and the team introduce new antagonists.
