Paul Casey and Derek Murray had dream year as they claimed All-Ireland crown at first attempt

The Dublin ladies’ Gaelic football squad were playing the Christmas hits during their Thursday work-out in the upstairs gym at the Craobh Chiaráin training ground in Clonshaugh on Dublin’s northside.
Outside, it was one of those grim, manky evenings in the capital where the weather and rush-hour traffic take you nowhere fast. Inside, the players had the festive tunes playing from Wham! to Mariah Carey. Winter must feel better when you’re All-Ireland champions.
