On Sunday, the Alias alum put her own twist on the “felt pretty” social media trend while giving fans a rare glimpse of her dolled up to the nines. In the beginning sequence of her Instagram video, Garner could be seen primping in front of the selfie camera as she modeled a strapless black velvet dress with a plunging sweetheart neckline. Showing off the ruched midi-length gown’s bodycon silhouette, the actress—who shares three kids with ex-husband Ben Affleck—paired the leading lady-approved LBD with multi-watt diamond chandelier earrings, diamond rings, and a bold beauty look.

Garner ditched her signature fresh-faced beat for a burgundy-hued smoky eyeshadow, black smudged eyeliner, a glossy berry lipstick, and a similar hue on her cheekbones. Beaming in the video, the star cosigned the Millennial side part, supersizing the polarizing hair trend with a dramatic swooped side bang and a voluminous blowout that showed off her blonde highlights.

However, Garner’s glam wasn’t around for too long, as she admitted, “Felt pretty but then I opened my friend’s camera roll.” She followed up her velvet gown and accompanying elegant beat with a parade of hilarious, less-than-flattering photos of her in candid, goofy moments.
Alongside a number of blurry photos and extremely close-up angles, the star could be seen wearing swimming goggles, passed out on the couch and tossing chips back into her mouth.
