Ian Blake says Darragh Broderick’s two-point score early in second half and the late contribution from Aidan Breen were critical to Ballymacelligott winning their All-Ireland Club JFC semi-final

It took quite the while for Ian Blake to make his way off the pitch at Mick Neville Park, such was the sea of Ballymacelligott supporters engulfing the players and management after their three-point win over Grangenolvin in a tense All-Ireland Club semi-final.

While Blake was taking the well wishes of the parish, club chairman John Rice was already on the phone, trying to firm up plans and the itinerary for next weekend’s trip to Dublin and a first Croke Park appointment for the team.
