The music legend, 57, who is mother to René-Charles Angélil, 24, and twins Nelson Angélil and Eddy Angélil, 15, with her late husband René Angélil, shared a hilarious video showing her speaking to the camera while explaining her decision.
She said: ‘My name is Céline. How old am I? I’ve got kids. They say “We have to get you on TikTok”. I’m like, on TikTok? I’ve heard that before but I’m suddenly getting cool. Celine Dion is cool. That’s amazing. So TikTok, here I come. Ciao.’
The announcement, in which she wore and pointed to a £740 branded hoodie from fashion house Celine, was met with uproarious excitement from followers, who welcomed her to the app and declared: ‘Mother has arrived’.
