As our correspondent Sami Mokbel said, after last night’s defeat at home to Nottingham Forest, the West Ham board are sticking by manager Nuno Espirito Santo.

But the Portuguese boss, who was only appointed as Graham Potter’s successor on 27 September, is under mounting pressure after a run of 10 Premier League matches without a win.

In fact, Nuno has won just two of his 16 matches in charge and now faces a battle to keep West Ham in the top flight.

They are third from bottom, seven points behind 17th-placed Forest, with 17 matches of the season remaining.
