Joey Carbery will put himself in the 2027 World Cup picture when he moves back to Ireland next season, but choosing Leinster over Ulster gives him a far more difficult path to that tournament in Australia.
The 30-year-old’s return from France has been well signposted this season and once he becomes an Irish-based player again, he’ll be part of Andy Farrell’s selection picture.
