Arsenal and Liverpool played out a 0-0 draw at the Emirates this evening, with pair providing an entertaining spectacle despite the lack of chances over the course of the 90 minutes.

Mikel Arteta’s side were the better team for the majority of the first half, with Bukayo Saka looking particularly dangerous down their right flank. However, they did not create many chances of note.

Liverpool actually had the best opportunity of the opening period, with a mix up from the hosts at the back seeing Conor Bradley hit the bar with a fine effort.

Arne Slot’s side were improved after halftime, largely controlling the game. In saying that, neither side looked all that dangerous in forward areas. Liverpool seemed rather content for the match to remain level, while Arsenal themselves lacked cohesion in attack.

In the end, the game petered out to a rather pedestrian 0-0 draw.

Roy Keane Did Not Hold Back On Martinelli After Horrific Bradley Actions

The most notable incident in this game came just before the final whistle.

Liverpool’s Conor Bradley would go down with what looked like a serious knee injury. When the Tyrone man was on the ground, he would have the ball thrown at him and be shoved by Arsenal winger Gabriel Martinelli.

The Brazilian was booked for his actions, with Gary Neville labelling him as ‘an idiot’ for his conduct.

That was a sentiment echoed by Roy Keane on Sky Sports after the game. The Irishman hammered Martinelli for his behaviour and said it crossed a line.

“It’s even worse than disrespectful”

I didn’t like it, didn’t like it at all. It happened to me before where I was badly injured and a player stood over me.

It’s not good, because we could see (Bradley was injured). We know football, we know players’ reactions, we know he’s a good lad.

First of all throwing the ball on him, standing over him, then he gets a little knee in him if you watch it closely. He’s trying to force him off.

I’m surprised the Liverpool players didn’t go after Martinelli a bit more. I think Martinelli with that behaviour is an absolute disgrace. He’s a good boy to roll around himself.

Not good scenes. Hopefully Martinelli will have a look at it and apologise for it…

Know your players. With the reaction you could tell he’s obviously injury.

I don’t think [Bradley] is the type of kid to [fake an injury]. If you’re standing over him, you don’t know the injury the player has got. It looks pretty bad and you’re trying to push him off the pitch?

Not good stuff that.

Gabriel Martinelli will be heavily criticised for this incident, something that is well deserved after what was some incredibly poor behaviour.

Liverpool fans will be hoping that Conor Bradley did not suffer a serious injury. In saying that, the scenes of him being brought off on a stretcher certainly did not look promising.
