It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Kathleen (née O’Leary); On January 8th, 2026 in her 96th year, in the tender and loving care of the staff at Mercy University Hospital.
Cherished wife of the late John, deeply regretted by her daughters, Una (Gleeson) and Audrey (Houlihan). Dear sister of Eddie, Kevin and the late Nan, Laurence, Mai, John and Gretta. Pre-deceased by her beloved son-in-law Seán (Houlihan).
Sadly missed by her loving family, son-in-law Martin, adored grandchildren, Pádraig, John, Doireann and Seán Óg, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.
Una and Audrey will be forever grateful for the exceptional care and kindness shown to Kathleen by all the staff in Care Choice Nursing Home, Ballynoe in the final weeks of her life.
Reposing at the Temple Hill Funeral Home, Borenmanna Road of Jerh. O’Connor Ltd. on Sunday (January 11th) from 2.00pm to 3.00pm.
Requiem Mass on Monday (January 12th) at 10am in St. Columba’s Church, Douglas which will be live streamed
Funeral afterwards to The Island Crematorium, Rocky Island, Ringaskiddy, Co. Cork.
