A new season dawns and Eoin Downey has his gaze fixed firmly in one direction only: looking forward.
And yet, for now at least, he finds it impossible to escape all those pesky questions stemming from last July’s All-Ireland meltdown: his second-half red card; those (vehemently denied) rumours of a half-time row in the Cork dressing room; the ‘how’ and ‘why’ it all went so horribly wrong against Tipperary.
