THE DRAW for this weekend’s Whitebox Limerick Senior Hurling Championship quarter-finals has taken place.
Ballybrown will face Adare on Sunday afternoon in the first of the Limerick SHC quarter-finals at 2pm in Askeaton. The winner of that clash will take on Doon in the SHC semi-final.Â
Kilmallock and Monaleen meet in the other quarter-final on Sunday evening in Bruff at 4:30pm and the winner will face Na Piarsaigh in the other semi-final.Â
Both Limerick SHC semi-finals take place on the weekend of October 4/5. The Limerick senior hurling championship final has been fixed for October 19 in the TUS Gaelic Grounds at 3:30pm.Â
Last weekend saw the final round of group action in the Limerick SHC.Â
Ballybrown issued a statement defeating Kilmallock 4-20 to 1-19 in Newcastle West. Ross Kenny, Mikey Kiely, Leigh Doolan and Barry Adams all hit the net for Ballybrown in their ten-point victory. Kilmallock’s Micheal Houlihan was forced off early on with an injury. Meanwhile, former Limerick hurler Graeme Mulcahy wasn’t fit enough to line out for the South Limerick club.
Monaleen, who had already secured promotion to group one for the 2026 season, had to settle for a draw against Kildimo-Pallaskenry.
Adare produced a late comeback against Newcastle West, with a penalty from John Fitzgibbon deep in injury time seeing Mark Foley’s side edge past their opponents 2-17 to 1-18. Former Limerick captain Declan Hannon limped off with an ankle injury in the second half.
Patrickswell have suffered relegation into group two for the 2026 season and Dromin-Athlacca will play in the premier intermediate grade next year.Â
