Met Éireann has issued a Status Yellow wind warning for 11 counties from tomorrow afternoon, with “difficult travel conditions” possible.
The warning has been issued for counties Clare, Cork, Kerry, Waterford, Donegal, Galway, Leitrim, Mayo, Sligo, Wexford and Wicklow.
It will remain in place from 4pm tomorrow until midnight.
The forecaster has said very windy conditions are expected, with strong and gusty southwest winds.
Difficult travelling conditions are expected, as well as fallen trees and branches and some wave overtopping.
Sunday will also be a cloudy day with outbreaks of rain and drizzle.
Drier spells through the morning will make way for rain moving up through the south during the afternoon.
In the north, a Status Yellow rain warning has also been issued for Antrim, Armagh, Down, Fermanagh, Tyrone, and Derry from 9pm tonight until 9pm tomorrow.
Bans of rain will move across the region which may lead to some flooding in places.
