Inspector Gearóid Thompson told the court that on September 25, 2025, gardaí on patrol saw Ms Mullane driving on the wrong side of the road on the N21 at Killaheen, near Rathkeale.
He said that some vehicles had to “take small evasive actions to avoid the vehicle.”
The car was observed being driven in this manner at 8.30pm in the evening.
When stopped by gardaí, Ms Mullane admitted the offence and was arrested.
The court heard that there was no collision due to her actions.
Inspector Thompson told the court that Ms Mullane has four previous convictions, one in the UK and the most recent was a road traffic offence in 2017 for no tax, while there was also a public order offence.
The 33-year-old woman was convicted and a fine of €400 was imposed, which she has six months to pay.
