Eric trots onwards as comic Michael Fry is the first celeb to exit Dancing with the Stars

Donegal’s Eric Roberts has danced past the first elimination of RTE’s Dancing with the Stars on week two.

The Downings TV presenter and partner Arianna Favaro last night performed a smooth Foxtrot to Daisies by Justin Bieber.

They scored 22 points.

Comedian and actor Michael Fry, whose mum hails from Donegal, became the first celebrity to be eliminated from the competition.

Alongside pro dancer Kylee Vincent, Michael received the lowest combined total from judges’ scores and public votes.

Michael said: “I had the best time, and I was really scared, but I wanted to do it and I did it scared.”

Next week is the much-anticipated Movie Week special airing on Sunday 18 January from 6:30pm on RTÉ One.
