If the look was old Hollywood, the accent was pure Longford. When Maura Higgins glided across the red carpet in her Marmar Halim dress at the Golden Globes, you were braced for at least a little vocal fry.

How could anyone serve a look somewhere between Audrey Hepburn, Jessica Rabbit, and ­Kylie Jenner, without being somewhat LA-ified in other ways. Surely E! News would do what Love Island couldn’t.
