It was a dramatic Friday night in Carrigstown as Lorcan Foley was rushed to hospital after collapsing in a bar.

On tonight’s episode of Fair City, Jess insulted an embarrassed Greg for failing to stand up to Ian. Lorcan invited Ruby to a gig as friends, but Sharon planted doubt by telling Ruby it seems like he wants more. Tommy told Carol that his nephew Max is coming to stay with him in Carrigstown.

When Ian continued to taunt Holly and Greg, Holly hatched a plan to get Ian hammered before an important supplier meeting. She contacted an old friend for ketamine for Greg to spike Ian’s drink. Greg was taken aback when Ian apologies for messing with him and Greg panicked having already spiked his drink. Greg nervously warned Ian not to drink before the meeting, but Ian brushed him off.

Ahead of the gig, Lorcan was embarrassed when he could only afford one pint for Ruby. Spotting his disappointment, Ian took pity and hands him the untouched spiked drink. Greg, distracted on a phone call, assumed the drugs were a dud and relaxed, but Ruby grew uneasy as Lorcan spiralled after barely half a pint.

Greg and Carol were horrified when Lorcan collapsed in the bar. Having just arrived in, Tommy’s nephew Max rushed over and checked Lorcan’s vitals, as he revealed he’s a doctor. As Lorcan was taken away in an ambulance, Carol and Max pressed Ruby to tell them what drugs he took but Ruby insisted he only had a few pints.

A horrified Greg told Holly they should admit to the paramedics what Lorcan took, but Holly insisted they keep quiet. Carol warned Ruby that if she’s lying and Lorcan dies, she’ll come after her.

Elsewhere in Carrigstown on tonight’s episode, Ger and James butted heads as James adjusts to living with three women. James was annoyed when Ger made noise during one of his business calls. Hayley encouraged him to make more of an effort to get along with Sharon and Ger and reminded him that they didn’t have to let him move in.

Meanwhile, Dean grew frustrated as he continues to lose out on time with Mairead while Phoebe recovers from her injury. Leo urged him to be honest with Mairead, but Dean is afraid of stirring up tension between her and Phoebe again. Phoebe was disheartened when she learned she needs more physio before her boot cast can come off.

Dean was dejected, knowing this means more time lost with Mairead. Leo broached the subject with Mairead, who admitted she has allowed Phoebe to come between her and Dean and knows she needs to address it. Determined to make amends, Mairead invited Dean over for dinner. But when he arrives, Phoebe made no secret that she wasn’t happy with his presence.
