Homeowners could be about to benefit from thousands of euro being made available for energy upgrades to private homes, under new plans that are expected to announced by Minister for Climate, Environment, Energy and Transport Darragh O’Brien.
Under provisional plans, home owners are expected to be able to claim attic insulation costs of €1,800. Attic insulations grants are currently capped at €1,500 for detached homes, or lower for other properties. So, the new grant payment will be an increase of €300 for these houses.
