A North Kerry dairy farmer has been fined €750 at Listowel District Court for allowing slurry to enter a water source connected with the River Feale, and other related charges.

John Paul Kelly of Scrahan, Duagh was charged with violating EU regulations, including causing or permitting organic fertiliser to enter a watercourse, applying organic fertiliser to snow-covered land, applying organic fertiliser to a farm passageway, and applying it during a prohibited period.
