After Brooklyn Beckham’s bombshell claims that he was ‘controlled’ by his parents, his ex girlfriend tells The Mirror that she believes Victoria played a key role in how their relationship unfolded. Brooklyn’s nuclear statement against his parents has sent shockwaves in the celebrity world, and now, his ex girlfriend Tallia Storm has seemingly thrown fuel on the fire.
In an exclusive chat with The Mirror, Tallia, 27 – who dated Brooklyn in 2014 when they were both teenagers – claims Victoria had an invested interest in their relationship and that her team sent paparazzi to photograph them together.

Singer Tallia recalls how Brooklyn came to support one of her gigs at Hanover Square in the capital, and invited Brooklyn along. She claims: “Victoria sent a security team during the day to check the venue. I thought it’s not that deep, but OK! When we went to the gig that night, Brooklyn came in with my sister as I was sound-checking – and then when we left with his security, there were like 20 paparazzi outside.”
After doing some digging, Tallia asked her mother, brand and PR expert, Tessa Hartmann CBE, how the photographers knew about their date. Tallia adds: “It was my first experience of anything like this, it was wild. I got such a fright – I did not want Brooklyn to think I’d called the paps! My mum’s in the media of course, and we started asking around, we were told that the paps had been called by Victoria’s team.”
On Monday evening Brooklyn, 26, spoke out against his parents, David and Victoria Beckham claiming they have ‘controlled’ him for ‘most’ of his life. In a statement shared on Instagram he said: “Unfortunately my parents and their team have continued to go to the press…I’ve received endless attacks from my parents, both privately and publicly, that were sent to the press on their orders.”

He went on to say: “My mum has repeatedly invited women from my past into our lives in ways that were clearly intended to make us both uncomfortable.”
Tallia dated Brooklyn for 18 months in 2014 recalling their time together – the singer previously called Brooklyn her ‘first love’, she says: “We were just 16 years old. We were young, hanging out – I was the first girl that had ever been spotted with Brooklyn.”
She believes that Victoria initially warmed to her because she was connected to Brooklyn’s godfather, Elton John. In 2012, Elton was so impressed with the aspiring singer that he invited a then 13-year-old Tallia to open his concert in Falkirk, Scotland after listening to a CD of her singing.
Tallia says: “I wasn’t ‘Tallia Storm’ at the time, I was a girl discovered by Elton John – which I think Victoria liked, she felt I had a bit of something about me. But I was still in school, we were just kids – we had a mutual crush on each other.

“When we started hanging out, David would drop him off at my house in London, I would go to theirs – I’ve met Victoria and honestly, it was just all lovely. At the time, it was just so unbelievable to me. It’s normal for them, but at the time I was like – this is crazy. He must know that this is standard for them, but at the time I was just gobsmacked.”
However, the relationship was short-lived and Tallia says Brooklyn told her he was not allowed to attend a star studded charity event with her on Victoria’s request. Tallia claims she was meant to attend the Global Gift Gala with Brooklyn, hosted by Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria – Victoria’s long-time pal.
But things didn’t quite work out as planned. She says, “I was meant to sit next to Brooklyn, we were all super excited – and then he messaged me on the night itself, when I was already inside, saying, my mum won’t let me come, I’m sorry. And that was that. Obviously, Victoria didn’t like me or whatever.” During their time together, Tallia says the Brooklyn she knew wasn’t ‘remotely bothered’ about fame. “He was just not that guy. He was just cool. We were just kids having fun. Victoria calling the press to my gig just made it something it didn’t need to be.”
