Power has been restored to more than 6,700 customers who were without power in southeast Boulder County, along with parts of Broomfield and Weld counties on Wednesday afternoon.
Power went out for 6,785 customers at 1:44 p.m. in the Lafayette and Erie area, among other nearby communities, according to Xcel Energy’s outage tracking map.
Power had been expected to be back on by 5:15 p.m., according to Xcel, and by 6:50 p.m., power had returned, according to the Xcel map.
Information about the cause of the outage and whether other towns and cities were affected was not available.
