A brand new series of Love Island: All Stars is currently in full swing, with previous Islanders making their return to the villa for another chance at finding romance.

Amongst this year’s contestants is series four star Charlie Frederick, who has drawn considerable criticism since the spin-off programme began.

Viewers have been left unimpressed by Charlie’s treatment of former champions Millie Court and Jess Harding, with numerous fans claiming he’s stringing them both along.

Audiences were particularly shocked when Charlie secretly snogged Jess just moments before opting to pair up with Millie.

As he’s emerged as a major talking point, ITV watchers have only just realised that the 31-year-old previously appeared on Made in Chelsea, reports OK!.

After his 2018 Love Island appearance, Charlie became part of the Made in Chelsea line-up in 2020 and had a brief romance with Verity Bowditch.

A segment from the Channel 4 programme has re-emerged on TikTok, leaving fans amazed they hadn’t made the connection. “Omg I completely forgot he was in this ahaha,” one commented.

Another added: “Omg had no idea he was even in this!!” While a third questioned: “How did I not know this?”

Someone else chimed in with: “OMG he’s that Charlie!!”

Others were astounded by how dramatically different the reality personality appears compared to his MIC days. “He’s rebranded his entire life to fit the new show,” said one.

With a final viewer stating: “Omggggggg I knew I seen him on something else!!!!!” It appears Charlie was offered another season of MIC but declined.

Speaking before All Stars, he said: “It’s not the fame I’m here for at all, it’s not like I want to get back in the fame scene.

“I comfortably left going back on Made in Chelsea last time. I said no because I met my ex-girlfriend and she was supposed to go on Love Island, I was supposed to go on Made in Chelsea and we found each other and then we said, let’s knock it on the head, see how this goes, and then, four years later, I’m single again.”

Love Island: All Stars continues on ITV2 and ITVX tonight at 9pm.
