Emmerdale’s Ruby Miligan is stunned to the core next week, as the fallout from Ray Walters and Celia Daniels’ hideous crimes continues to rock the village. And the latest heartbreaking update feels very close to home…
Since Ray’s death, the folk of Emmerdale have been desperate to uncover the culprit. But little do they know that there are more dead bodies lurking in the vicinity of their beloved village – including Anya‘s, the stowaway Ruby took in after she was discovered in one of Caleb’s haulage vans.
“Anya’s body has been lying in her makeshift grave – that Bear was forced to dig on Celia’s orders – for some time now,” our Emmerdale insider reminds us.
“So, how does Ruby come to suspect that Anya could be dead? The expression of concern on Ruby’s face is enough to suggest that there’s big drama on the way, as more hideous discoveries come to light…”

Viewers will remember that Ruby was devastated when she found out that Caleb had paid Anya to vacate their home and head for London, believing that she had a duty of care to the vulnerable woman.
So, if Ruby somehow does find out the tragic truth about her former lodger, how will she react?
“She would be bereft,” our source continues. “Protecting Anya meant so much to Ruby, so knowing her true fate would be agonising to say the very least.”
How will Ruby cope if and when she learns how poor Anya died? And how does that stand to affect Ruby’s relationship with Caleb, given his decision to send Anya packing?

Anya was introduced to Emmerdale in October last year, when Ruby, Caleb and Joe Tate found her in the back of one of the depot vans. They were all unaware that Anya was fleeing from Celia’s farm.
When Anya was recaptured, she became unwell on the farm. Callous Ray and Celia then failed to get her the help she needed, causing her tragic death.
Anya’s body was buried on Moira’s farmland. Thinking ahead, scheming Celia wrapped her in a blanket that Moira had thrown out – determined to frame her business partner if needed…
