Brooklyn Beckham has the celebrity world into a frenzy after launching a scathing attack on his parents in a six-page statement – leaving David and Victoria utterly blindsided.

Breaking his silence on the ongoing family feud for the first time, the 26-year-old declared on Instagram that he “does not want to reconcile” with his relatives, making explosive claims that his parents are “controlling” and “manipulative’ and attacking” while taking aim at “Brand Beckham”.

Revealing he experienced “overwhelming anxiety” whilst growing up under the media glare, he stated: “My family values public promotion and endorsements above all else. Brand Beckham comes first”.

Among the shocking claims in the statement are accusations that Victoria undermined Brooklyn’s wedding to Nicola Peltz by dancing with him “inappropriately,” that his mother branded him “evil” during a row about the seating arrangements, and that the Beckhams put pressure on Brooklyn into “signing away his name” ahead of the 2022 ceremony.

Brooklyn recounted: “Marc Anthony called me to the stage, where in the schedule was planned to be my romantic dance with my wife but instead my mum was waiting to dance with me instead,” adding, “She danced very inappropriately on me in front of everyone. I’ve never felt more uncomfortable or humiliated in my entire life.”

The DJ who performed at Brooklyn’s wedding has now disclosed the full story.

During an explosive interview on This Morning, DJ Fat Tony, a longtime friend of the Beckhams, explained: “There was no slut dropping, there was no PVC catsuit, there was no Spice Girls actions. The word inappropriate – why I said it was inappropriate as well because it was the timing.”

He went on to say that Marc Anthony invited Brooklyn onto the stage before requesting “the most beautiful woman in the room” to join them, specifically calling out Victoria. “At that point, Brooklyn is devastated because he thought he was going to do his first dance with his night. Nicola leaves the room crying her eyes out. Marc says, ‘Put your hands on your mother’s hips!’ It was a latin thing and that whole situation was awkward for everyone in the room.”

For those familiar with David and Victoria, the allegations and online mockery have been difficult to digest, , reports the Mirror.

Frequently characterised as dedicated parents who consider family “is everything,” their previously solid family bond has crumbled within hours.

Despite the highly visible dispute, their attempts at reconciliation have been ongoing. When Brooklyn and Nicola were absent from David’s 50th birthday celebration, an insider revealed to the Mirror: “Victoria feels betrayed because she’s done everything she can to make them both feel welcome and Nicola like another daughter.

“But she feels it’s been thrown back in her face. She would normally do anything to avoid a family fallout, but she thinks they’re both being unreasonable.”

Following Brooklyn’s decision to air the family dispute publicly, it appears reconciliation may be increasingly difficult.

“Victoria is on the floor, shocked to pieces that her son would do this,” an insider revealed following Brooklyn’s statement.

“They’re still blaming Nicola, feeling she had put him up to this, and it’s all to do with her; they’re constantly blaming Nicola. But as Brooklyn said, he had to do this. He’s sick of being controlled by their narrative.”

The revelation has reportedly hit the Beckhams hard, particularly given they’re believed to have frequently shielded their eldest from the very issue he’s now accusing them of – unwanted press coverage.

Victoria and David’s formidable public relations operation has allegedly sprung into action numerous times upon learning of potentially damaging allegations about their son – evidence their commitment has remained steadfast.

Detailing the incidents that prompted the Beckhams’ intervention, Daily Mail columnist Katie Hind noted: “Some involved him with the wrong crowd, others were ‘kiss and tells’ from former girlfriends. On every occasion, when I put these stories to the Beckhams’ camp, their PR machine leapt into overdrive in Brooklyn’s defence, on occasions instructing expensive lawyers to protect him.”

Throughout the years, David and Victoria supported Brooklyn in exploring various career paths, including football, modelling, and an internship with a renowned photographer.

The rift is believed to have started around the time of Brooklyn’s wedding, with reports suggesting Nicola’s family covered a substantial portion of the approximately £3million celebration.

His parents did, however, present him with an extravagant present – a vintage Jaguar XK120 valued at around £372,000.

Brooklyn’s public comments are understood to have left his parents heartbroken – with Victoria particularly affected by much of the criticism during his damning remarks. He alleged his family tried to “ruin” his relationship with Nicola, with certain relatives supposedly telling him she “wasn’t family”.

He further claimed his parents put pressure on him to sign away the rights to his name – something he declined to do. “They have never treated me the same since,” he stated.

The dispute appears to centre largely on his wife Nicola, with Brooklyn asserting she has been “constantly disrespected” by his family. The wannabe chef revealed his wedding left him feeling “anxious and embarrassed” after Victoria purportedly “danced inappropriately” on him whilst “hijacking” his first dance with his bride.

The couple recommitted to each other soon afterwards – a ceremony which the Beckham family chose not to attend. Brooklyn further revealed the duo had attempted to arrange a private meeting with David during his 50th birthday festivities, preferring to avoid the high-profile party.

When David purportedly agreed to the meeting, Nicola wasn’t included in the invitation. “The narrative that my wife controls me is completely backwards,” the eldest son wrote towards the conclusion of his statement.

“All we want is peace, privacy and happiness for our future family.”

But how should Victoria and David respond when facing such serious allegations from their own son?

Their firstborn, whom the couple have reportedly always been utterly devoted to. And what steps can they take to limit the fallout both to their public image and to family relations?

“The world is waiting for the Beckhams’ to speak,” Mayah Riaz, celebrity PR expert, told the Mirror.

“From a crisis perspective, their strongest move is restraint and they know this well. Silence is power when your brand equity is this high.

“Retaliation would be a huge mistake and legal threats would pour petrol on the fire. An interview would only legitimise the claims. The most likely strategy is what I call dignified containment. No comment, business as usual, trusted friends briefing softly off the record, and letting the news cycle exhaust itself. This kind of story typically peaks within 72 hours unless someone escalates it.”

Meanwhile, communications expert Judi James suggested that while Brooklyn may feel relieved for now after sharing his side of the story, this sense of liberation might be short-lived. She warned that his statement could potentially stoke further public curiosity about the family feud.

“Like most family disputes or rows that are aired out loud though it’s hard to see what his objectives are here.

“Emotional ‘dumping’ can initially feel cathartic, like having a quiet rant and then crying, but, like tears, the emotions will usually just come back again. And public statements like this can create a ripple effect of upset, distress and responses. ‘Setting the record straight’ like this will usually only make people crave to hear or tell the other side to the story.”
