There’s never been a better time to fly out of Ireland West Airport with even more services set operate out of Knock.

While major expansion plans of Ireland West Airport were given the green light last year, there are set to be even more flights from Ireland West.

Starting this June, Ryanair will increase the frequency of its flights between Knock and Liverpool to 10 departures every week.

This increase will only add to the growth that Ireland West has experienced in the past 12 months.

2025 was the busiest year on record for the airport, with more than 946,000 passengers, surpassing the previous record of 834,000 passengers in 2024, an increase of over 13%.

Planning permission has been given for the construction of a new aircraft hangar and storage facility at Knock Airport Business Park in Kilgraff, West Charlestown.

Knock Airport Business Park lies approximately 1km west of Ireland West Airport, Knock.

The exciting plans include a two-storey office area, an ancillary aircraft storage space, and a new access road linking to the existing local route.

If you ever struggle to find a space at Ireland West, these plans will no doubt help with that problem. There will be an increase in staff and visitor parking and secure bicycle stands.
