Ireland head coach Andy Farrell’s mounting injury crisis deepened in Galway tonight, as loosehead prop Jack Boyle suffered a serious looking lower leg injury, with Leinster boss Leo Cullen admitting it “looks like he’ll be out for a while.”

Already without first-choice injured duo Andrew Porter and Paddy McCarthy, Boyle was stretchered off midway through the first-half of his side’s 34-23 bonus point win that spoiled the opening night of Connacht’s new Clan Stand at their Dexcom Stadium.
