A man is due to appear in court following an alleged stabbing incident in Letterkenny yesterday evening.

Gardaí attended a residence in the town after reports that a person had been injured during an incident. A man in his 20s was arrested at the scene.

The injured person was treated by emergency services. No further information on their condition has been released.

The arrested man, who is also in his 20s, is scheduled to appear before Buncrana District Court this morning.
