On Saturday evening last, John Small buckled up and braced himself for the wind and rain on the short walk down Drumcondra Road to Croke Park for Dublin’s opening Division 1 league game against Donegal.
With him was his five-year-old son, Charlie, curious to know more about the game and the presence of his uncle Paddy on the Dublin team.
