CPP payments are set to increase by 2% as the cost of living rises and are calculated annually using the Consumer Price Index (CPI).

How do I qualify for a CPP?

You have to be at least 60 years old and have made at least one valid contribution to the CPP.

When do I start getting a CPP?

The standard age to start CPP is at age 65 but you can start as early as age 60 or as late as age 70. Starting earlier means smaller monthly payments and starting later means bigger monthly payments. Age 70 is when the maximum monthly amount is reached.
