TGI Fridays Blanchardstown has announced it will be closing after “25 incredible years”.

Ireland’s last TGIs is shutting its doors after news earlier this month that the American chain was also closing 16 of its restaurants in the UK. In a lengthy statement on social media, the restaurant said they were “honoured” to host so many special occasions down the years and “watch families grow”.

The statement reads: “To all of our Friday’s fans, we’re sadly saying goodbye to TGI Fridays Blanchardstown after more than 25 incredible years. Rising costs have made it impossible for us to continue, but what will always remain are the memories we shared within these walls.

“Over the years, we were honoured to host so many special moments – birthdays, Communions, Christmas parties, cup-winning celebrations, and countless get-togethers just because. We’ve watched families grow through the generations, from kids running around the restaurant to returning years later with children of their own to experience that unique Fridays feeling. Being part of so many milestones has been a true privilege.

“To our loyal guests: thank you for choosing us time and time again, and for making this place feel like so much more than a restaurant. And to our incredible team, past and present – thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Your energy, warmth, and dedication brought the Fridays spirit to life every single day, and you went above and beyond to make every guest feel welcome.

“Blanchardstown, thank you for 25 unforgettable years. You’ll always be part of our story.”
