A female teacher who had sex with a former student in a hotel has denied that she “groomed” him, saying it was a one-night stand between “consenting adults” and she did not think it was wrong at the time.
The secondary school teacher said with “hindsight” she now realised it was “poor professional judgement” when she slept with the 18-year-old after bumping into him in a pub following his Leaving Cert exams.
