Tadhg Furlong took some part in training today, as the Ireland tighthead prop stepped up his recovery in a bid to prove his fitness in time for Thursday’s Six Nations opener against France in Paris.

It remains to be seen if Furlong, who has been struggling with a calf injury, will feature at Stade de France, but the latest update from Ireland’s training camp in Portugal was positive.
