Swansea City have snapped up Ireland underage goalkeeper Joe Collins.
The Bohemians prospect, who has made two Leinster Senior Cup appearances for the League of Ireland side, joins ahead of Monday’s transfer deadline.
Collins was previously at Bray Wanderers, where he played for the Seagulls’ underage sides, before he moved to Bohemians in 2023.
It is believed that there was interest in the 18-year-old, who turns 19 later this month, from rival Championship sides, while some Premier League clubs were also keeping tabs on him.
Swansea, currently 15th in the Championship table, last summer shot into the global headlines when they landed some high-profile new co-owners.
In December US business woman Martha Stewart joined rapper Snoop Dogg and Croatia legend Luka Modric as part-owner of the Welsh side.
Last September Swansea signed Ireland striker Adam Idah in an €8million move from Celtic.
Idah is currently recovering from a hamstring injury, which looks set to rule him out of Ireland’s World Cup play-off against Czechia in March.
Collins’ arrival comes just days after Dubliner Glory Nzingo left the club to return to St Patrick’s Athletic.
