Sligo Rovers manager John Russell says he expects Patrick McClean would have stayed at the club if his brother James wasn’t planning to return home to Derry.
The younger brother of Derry City’s marquee signing enjoyed a career rebirth under Russell in the second half of last season after leaving Glentoran but he indicated over the winter that he wanted to return to his hometown.
