Donegal Airport has been rolling out the red carpet for an international television crew who are making a documentary on some of the world’s most fascinating airports.
Donegal Airport, which was crowned the World’s Most Scenic Airport three years in a row from 2018-2020, is renowned for its stunning coastal runway.
A team from Cayenne Inc, a Japanese television production company, touched down in Donegal to spend several days at the airport, meeting the friendly staff and exploring the surrounding area.
The crew also took in some Donegal hospitality gems, as the cameras pivoted from planes to pubs for a night of ceol agus craic with Meenacross Comhaltas at Bonner’s Bar.
“The documentary focuses on the world’s most fascinating airports, and we’re delighted that Donegal Airport has been included,” said a spokesperson for the airport.
“It will be broadcast on NHK WORLD-JAPAN, Japan’s national public broadcaster.
“We’re really looking forward to seeing the final production and sharing Donegal with audiences around the world.”
