As Cork celebrity endorsements go – they don’t get much bigger than Manchester United and Ireland legend Roy Keane.

And the pundit, podcaster and busy granddad – daughter Leah welcomed her first child at Christmas – took time out from his busy schedule to drop by Marymount Hospice in Cork recently, to lend a hand to their most important fundraiser of the year.

There are only three days remaining for ticket sales, and Roy urged the public to get involved, buy a ticket and show their support for the hospice that has helped virtually every family in Cork at some stage in a history of charitable service that goes back to the 1870s.

“Marymount does incredible work for the whole community, and it’s great to see the dedication and care shown here every day. The car raffle is a brilliant way for people to support such an important cause,” said Roy.

The Marymount Car Raffle offers supporters the chance to win a fantastic prize while directly supporting Marymount’s services. With the draw now just 3 days away, organisers are encouraging anyone who hasn’t yet entered to do so as soon as possible.

The grand prize is a brand-new Toyota Cross Luna Hybrid worth €33,000. The raffle is in collaboration with Cogans Toyota Carrigaline.

Tickets are just €10 and available online or at reception at Marymount. Every entry helps ensure Marymount can continue to provide compassionate care and support to those who need it most.

The draw takes place in just three days with entries closing midnight on the 13th of February — don’t miss your chance to take part. For more information or to enter the raffle online, you can visit marymount.ie

There will also be a pop-up event to sell physical tickets at Wilton Shopping Centre on the 13th of February from 10am – 4pm.

On his visit, Roy met with Marymount Fundraising and Marketing Manager Enid Conway, who said “Marymount is forever grateful to the people of Cork and further afield who come together to support Marymount. With only three days to go, we can’t wait to pull the winning ticket. Its such an exciting time and we are so thankful that Roy could help us boost the raffle and to the individuals and businesses that have supported us through purchasing and selling tickets throughout the campaign. We are blessed to be part of such a caring community.”
