Twitter/X’s biggest tipster expects a turnaround in form for Captain Teague (Ascot, 14:25).

Andy Robson, who you’ll know from Twitter/X and Instagram, has consulted his horse racing expert and has three exciting tips for us across Saturday’s ITV racing.

Ascot 13:50 – Thomas Mor (NAP)

THOMAS MOR has at least 7lb in hand, over his rivals, on official ratings. He has certainly excelled in two chase outings this term, with a convincing course win, followed by a fine second in Grade One company. A reproduction of that run would suffice, in what could be a race run to suit, as a course winner.

Ascot 14:25 – Captain Teague (Value Play)

Despite not finishing his last race, CAPTAIN TEAGUE has the credentials to be involved at the business end of this handicap hurdle. The lightly-raced eight-year-old has run just five races over hurdles – including an outstanding success in Grade One company. Dropped to a handicap rating of 138, having pulled up over three miles at Windsor, he may be well treated on this second handicap start. He’s worth the risk to bounce back to form for top trainer, Paul Nicholls, at the course.

Haydock 15:15 – Git Maker (Value Play)

The unpredictable GIT MAKER is of considerable interest at each-way odds. He is a three-time chase winner, who was last seen pulling up in the Welsh National Handicap Chase. That dismal effort came on ground far too quick, and a turnaround in form is expected, on this deeper surface. He is well-handicapped, just a pound higher than his last winning mark. He could very well be supported in the market.
