Carrigaline, Cork and formerly of Portacloy, Ballina, Co. Mayo – on 18th February 2026, peacefully surrounded by her loving family and in the care of the wonderful staff at St. Finbarr’s Hospital.
Breda (Breege) predeceased by her parents Anthony and Mary and her brothers Chris and Kevin.
Breda will be sadly missed by her loving daughters Janice, Caroline, Gillian and Vivienne, their father Finbarr, sons-in-law Brendan, Terry and Jack, her adored grandchildren Rhys, Dylan, Darcy, Adam and Mason, sisters Mary (Shrataggle), Anne (Gortmellia), Josephine (Galway) and Margaret (Portacloy), brothers Paddy (Bangor), Seamus (Portacloy) and Uinsíonn (Glenamoy), brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncle, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Fordes Funeral Home, Old Waterpark, Carrigaline on Friday, 20th February from 5:00pm until 6:00pm.
Requiem Mass on Saturday, 21st February at 11:30am in Church of Our Lady and St. John, Carrigaline which may be viewed here (Link to follow).
Funeral afterwards to The Island Crematorium.
