Another game will take place in the capital on August 29th.

Just under 23,000 US visitors travelled to attend the Aer Lingus College Football Classic in Dublin’s Aviva Stadium last year, many of whom stayed for seven nights.

The game, between the Kansas State Wildcats and the Iowa State Cyclones, generated 132 million euro for the Irish economy, according to an economic impact report from Grant Thornton.

Another game will take place in the capital on August 29th, between Texas Christian University and the University of North Carolina.

Mike Buddie, TCU Director of Intercollegiate Athletics, says it benefits both the young players and the US sport to be exposed to other cultures around the world.
